Through play we build resilience and adaptability. We explore our deepest creative thoughts and stumble upon groundbreaking innovation. We enter a connection with others beyond words in a truly joyful and meaningful way. We discover our unique voice and gain the confidence to use it. In short, play is a critical component to living and operating at your best. And yet... play seems to be forgotten and tossed aside as we become adults. As if the benefits it provides are no longer useful. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
Okay. Sure... but can you TEACH PLAY??? Yes. I believe you can. I believe play is both a muscle and a state of mind. It is akin to practicing mediation to increase mindfulness. Through intense study and thought, I believe the experiences of play can be broken into 4 "laws". For play to flourish, the following principles must be "at play". Play requires an attitude that anything is possible, the environment to be judgement free, exploration fueled, and a knowledge that everything transforms. Classes are comprised of strategically designed exercises to help participants engage in and practice these principals as well as many other important play based teachings and powerful discussions. Plus... it's FUN... and you feel a bit like a kid again!
