Through play we build resilience and adaptability. We explore our deepest creative thoughts and stumble upon groundbreaking innovation. We enter a connection with others beyond words in a truly joyful and meaningful way. We discover our unique voice and gain the confidence to use it. In short, play is a critical component to living and operating at your best. And yet... play seems to be forgotten and tossed aside as we become adults. As if the benefits it provides are no longer useful. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
Okay. Sure... but can you TEACH PLAY??? Yes. I believe you can. At it’s core, play isn’t an action. It’s a mental attitude out of which an experience of play is born. I believe this attitude can become a life approach, and like mindfulness, can be practiced and cultivated - by anyone.
Play requires an attitude that anything is possible, the environment to be judgement free, curiosity driven, and a knowledge that everything transforms. Classes are comprised of strategically designed exercises to help participants engage in and practice these principals - as well as many other important play based teachings and powerful discussions. Plus... it's FUN. You'll feel a bit like a kid again!
